Reinoud Sprong

My name is Reinoud Sprong, 25 years old and living in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

Coming from a family of three brothers and two entrepreneurial parents, I developed a passion for art and antiques at a young age. I went to the major art fairs and visited museums. I also started reading early about art that specifically interested me. That led to a Bachelor's degree in History at Utrecht University, after which my Master's in Art, Market and Connoisseurship at VU Amsterdam crowned the academic level.

Since my youth I have had a love of trade and entrepreneurship. From my own disco, catering and various small ventures, it was eventually time for the real trade: art and antiques! Because of my early interest I was able to do many different internships and gain experience in the field. After a six-month internship as a junior expert in classical art at the fastest-growing European online auction house, Catawiki, I knew for sure: from now on Reinoud would set up an official art dealership for himself. I started buying at auctions, on online marketplaces and visited markets. The first storage space was my grandmother's garage box, and that is how the adventure began.

Now, a little further along, I am quite proud of how far we have come in a short time. We have customers worldwide and are slowly growing. By being active on social media we try to enthuse the younger generation for art and antiques through our videos.

Currently we work from a small storage space that is almost always full. Customers are very welcome here by appointment!

In the future we hope to be able to offer a larger collection of furniture and fine art. My goal is to open a large showroom in a characteristic building where we can receive all customers.
